The Super Babies have arrived in North East and North Cumbria. They're here to remind mums-to-be, their partners, friends and families, that babies benefit when their mums don't drink during pregnancy.
The benefits cover both physical and mental development and include sight, brain development growth and motor skills.
Drinking alcohol during pregnancy can lead to learning difficulties, heart problems, and permanent damage to a developing baby's brain. There is no safe amount.
We can all help create super-babies by supporting mums-to-be in not drinking alcohol.
If you would like more information or support, then please speak to your Midwife, Health Visitor, or GP, or visit the North East and North Cumbria Local Maternity System website for more information.
