Working with partner organisations
We work with other organisations to make sure as many people as possible can have their say about health and care services. Two of our main partners are Healthwatch and the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector.
Healthwatch
Healthwatch helps people share their views on health and care. It listens to patients, carers, and families. Healthwatch tells services what’s working and what needs to improve.
There are 14 local Healthwatch groups in our region. They work together as a network and are funded by local councils.
Healthwatch has a place on all our decision-making boards. They are an important part of our work, acting as a “critical friend” to make sure people’s voices are heard.
Why not volunteer with your local Healthwatch or join one of their meetings to get involved?
Voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector
We also work closely with local voluntary and community groups. These groups help us reach people who may find it hard to use health services.
Our VCSE Partnership Programme helps these organisations be involved in:
- Planning and designing services
- Representing communities and local projects
- Joining our board discussions
These partnerships help us understand what matters to local people and make better decisions.
