There are also national organisations that can help:- Drinkline: Call 0300 123 1110 for free advice. Open weekdays 9am–8pm and weekends 11am–4pm.
- Alcoholics Anonymous (AA): A free support group where people help each other get sober through regular meetings and the "12 step" programme.
- Al-Anon Family Groups: Support for families and friends of problem drinkers, whether the person is still drinking or not.
