Nearly 200,000 people have had their COVID-19 vaccine - don’t miss your chance to get protected!
People most vulnerable to COVID-19 are being urged not to miss out as the spring booster programme enters its final month.
Almost 200,000 people across the North East and North Cumbria have already come forward for their free spring COVID-19 vaccination, with the NHS urging more eligible residents to take up the offer before the programme ends later this month.

Latest figures show 197,172 people have received their free booster jab so far, around 1,500 more than at the same stage of last year's campaign.
Health leaders say the strong uptake is helping to protect some of the region's most vulnerable residents from serious illness but are concerned that many more are still to come forward.
Ben Anderson, director of population health, NHS North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board (ICB), said: "It's really encouraging that so many people are having their COVID-19 booster, but we would still like to see more people, especially those who have a weakened immune system, getting the protection they need.
"COVID-19 remains a real risk, especially for children and adults whose immune systems struggle to fight infections effectively. It can hit harder, last longer and sometimes lead to hospital stays. A simple booster dose helps to strengthen the body's defences and greatly reduces these risks."
More than 417,000 people across the North East and North Cumbria are eligible for a free spring booster, including those aged 75 and over, elderly care home residents, and people aged six months and over with weakened immune systems.
Among those backing the campaign are retired North East couple Humphrey, 87, and Margaret, 81, who have both received their spring booster and are encouraging others to do the same.
Humphrey said: "I always get all the vaccines I can because I want to enjoy life for as long as possible. I tell everyone – don't wait, just get it."
Margaret added: "Don't hesitate – just go and do it. As you get older, it takes longer to recover from illnesses, and some people end up in hospital. We're lucky to have the vaccine, so make the most of it and look after yourself."
Appointments can be booked through the NHS App, online using the NHS Booking Service, or by calling 119.
The spring COVID-19 vaccination programme closes on June 30.
