The NHS is encouraging people to come forward for their spring booster ahead of the seasonal offer coming to a close at the end of June.
The COVID-19 vaccination programme, in the North East and North Cumbria, has already seen more than 233,222 people, receive their spring booster - more than 60% of those eligible.
Friday 30 June is also the last chance for those yet to have their first or second covid vaccine dose to come forward. After this, the NHS will move to a targeted seasonal offer for those at increased risk.
Around 388,702 people in the North East and North Cumbria are eligible for the spring booster, in line with advice from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI), which includes people aged 75 and over, people aged five and over with weakened immune systems and older adult care home residents.
Dr Janet Walker, primary care advisor for the North East and North Cumbria COVID-19 Vaccination Programme, said: “Many people who have been offered the
COVID-19 vaccine this spring have now had their protection boosted, including older adult care home residents.
"There are now only a few weeks left for anyone else who is eligible to come forward - and if you've only had one COVID-19 vaccine so far, or none at all, it is still not too late.
"You can get vaccinated quickly and easily up to 30 June, after which the offer will become more targeted, like the regular flu vaccine.
"So please make the most of the weeks ahead by protecting yourself from COVID-19 before the offer ends.”
Appointments are available to book up to 29 June at many sites across the region.
Anyone eligible can book:
- Via the National Booking Service
- through the NHS App

Limited walk-in availability is also listed on the national 'grab a jab' site click here or on the North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board (ICB) website click here.

The last spring booster vaccinations will be given on 30 June.
First and second Covid-19 vaccinations, for anyone aged 5 on or before 31 August 2022, will also end after that date following recent advice from the JCVI.
After 30 June, the NHS offer will become more targeted to those at increased risk, usually during seasonal campaigns.
