Market Position Statement

Our new Market Position Statement (MPS) for Housing aims to help all partners plan ahead, align investment and work together to improve homes, health and independence across the North East and North Cumbria. Shaped by extensive engagement with councils, the NHS, housing associations, care providers and wider partners, the MPS provides a clear picture of:

• The housing, care and support needs of our population now and over the next five years

• What services and homes currently exist, and where the gaps are

• Opportunities for providers, developers and investors to help meet local needs

• Our shared priorities for warm, dry and safe homes, better housing for older people, and improved support for people with complex needs.
