The purpose of this report is to provide an overview of recent activity carried out by the ICB team, as well as some key national policy updates.

Public Executive Committee Highlight Report
To provide the Board with an overview of the discussions at the meeting of the Quality and Safety Committee held in September 2024, including the approved minutes for assurance.
To provide the Board with an overview of the key points and approved minutes from the FPI Committee meeting held on 5 September and 3 October 2024.
Finance Performance and Investment Committee
To provide the Board with an overview of the key points and approved minutes from the Audit Committee meeting held on 18 July 2024.
The NENC Integrated Delivery Report (IDR) provides an overview of quality and performance, highlighting any significant changes, areas of risk and mitigating actions.
The report uses published performance and quality data covering September 2024 for most metrics and August 2024 for others, unless otherwise specified. Finance data is for September 24 (Month 6).
To provide the Board with an update on the financial performance of the North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board (NENC ICB) and NENC Integrated Care System (ICS) in the financial year 2024/25 for the six months to 30 September 2024.
To highlight the importance of the VCSE sector in the North East and North Cumbria as key partners that make a huge difference to health and wellbeing outcomes, and to propose a refresh of the ICB's partnerships with the sector, including recommendations for system-wide and place-based working.
To approve the Involving People and Communities Strategy 2024-28. This strategy has been guided and shaped by listening to the people and communities we serve, the organisations and stakeholders we work alongside, and the feedback received from ICB staff, committee and Board members.
This report will update the Integrated Care Board of the current infection Control status of our Foundation Trusts with a comparison of performance against agreed trajectories 1st Sept 2023 and 31st August 2024. The paper also highlights performance in respect of community acquired infections for the same period.
