The Digital Care Summit 2021 took place on 16 September 2021 as a virtual event with around 180 delegates. The event focused on how the region is working together to implement new technology.

The event featured updates from Professor Sir Liam Donaldson, Steve Cram as Great North Care Record ambassador, plus updates from key regional programmes such as Great North Care Record, digital diagnostics and NHS Health Call. It also included breakout sessions exploring issues like digital inclusion, digital skills, innovation and digitising primary care.
